Who We Are
Let’s Go Fishing began in Willmar, Minnesota in 2002. Let's Go Fishing had a dream to help enrich the lives of senior citizens. With fond memories of growing up with a fishing pole and always having a heart for seniors and an undying passion for the water, we wanted to create an organization that would provide fishing and boating outings to seniors. The first chapter was formed with the help of many that shared a passion for helping people and loved the water.

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, generous donors and the vision and generosity of the State of Minnesota and Wisconsin, LGF continues to expand its reach. We impact thousands of individuals each year and with the implementation of new programs we now serve Hospice patients (regardless of age), youth, veterans, and the disabled. Since our inception in 2002, the LGF program has served over 200,000 people.
What We Do
Experienced, trained LGF volunteers provide fishing and recreational boating excursions for senior citizens at no cost to them. While the sport of fishing will be important to some, the stimulation of boating, the outdoors, and socializing will appeal to all participants. All equipment, bait, refreshments and transportation costs will be covered by LGF. All that participants need to do is have fun and enjoy the outdoors.
